The products available are not limited to those you see in the gallery! If you have an idea don’t hesitate to contact Jeff to discuss the possibilities.

Material samples:

A set of swatch books is available by mail for a $25 deposit (this can be applied to your order if you return the sample set). The sample pack includes a leather color chart and a large variety of bookcloths.  Please indicate if you require samples of album paper or other specific material samples.

Some examples of the material samples can be viewed online, but keep in mind that color and resolution differences on monitors make it difficult to be certain of color choices.  You are encouraged to make actual selections using the sample pack.

A few words about pricing...

Because of the custom nature of the work it is impossible to offer a price list.  All products are hand crafted to your exact specifications using the highest quality materials available.  Please bear in mind that traditional hand bookbinding methods are labor intensive and prices can’t be compared to machine made products.  Higher quality materials, greater attention to detail, and the originality of each custom made item are just a few of the many qualities of hand crafted books and boxes.

Prices start around $100 for small boxes and case bindings.  Hand-sewn albums start around $200.  Leather bindings generally run from about $200 up.  These are only rough prices to give you an idea of the general cost of hand bookbinding.

All work is priced individually by calculating material costs and estimated labor. Prices depend on the specific materials chosen, the size of the book or box, and the complexity of any finishing work (decoration and titling). The number of books or boxes ordered at one time may also influence the price (quantity discounts are available).  When seeking price estimates please provide as much information about these factors as possible. Jeff will work with you to design something that best fits your needs and budget.  Prices are as custom as the work!
